Yes, Kuartsu is his middle name, so you do not have to include it unless you really want to. Kuartsu was added after I read on Wiki that "Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz often used in jewelry."
Shouldn't his last name be 'Kuartsu', then?
Unless I'm just stupid, I don't think many people know Amethyst is technically quartz. Also, I don't feel like changing his last name, I think it suits him.
